Ashley Morris, registered architect

I am a licensed architect who has been practicing architecture for over 8 years. I received my Master of Architecture degree from North Carolina State University after completing a double major in Studio Art and Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I will always be a Tarheel at heart. Through graduate school and after graduation, I was a designer at DudaPaine Architects. While at DudaPaine, I worked as part of a design team competing in numerous competitions and creating a number of large commercial works throughout the country. After becoming a licensed architect, I became a project architect  with Vernacular Studio concentrating mostly in residential design. I enjoyed working with the home owners on a personal level and actually seeing how the work we did affected their day to day life in a positive way. These experiences have allowed me to branch out on my own and continue to do what I enjoy most, working with home owners.

Pell Street Studio is located in our home in Downtown Raleigh’s Historic Oakwood neighborhood. While working on our own home and those of our neighbors, we have become well versed in the COA application process for historic homes in Raleigh. We also specialize in interior/exterior rennovations, additions, new construction, and interior design including material/finishes selection and colors. General Contractor selection, bid selections, and overseeing construction are part of our varied services.
